About Jarrett
Dr Jarrett Barker-Whittle studied medicine at the University of NSW.
He completed internship and resident years at St George Hospital and then began specialist training in Anaesthesia at Liverpool Hospital. This included rotations to St Vincent’s and Bankstown Hospitals, and The Children's Hospital at Randwick. He holds a fellowship with the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists and pursues a robust program of continuing medical education and professional improvement. Jarrett is actively involved in hospital committee work and has been the Director of Anaesthesia at Macquarie University Hospital. He is a member of the Australian Society of Anaesthetists.
Dr Barker-Whittle’s practice covers many areas of anaesthesia. His special interests involve General and Abdominal surgery, Orthopaedics, Ear Nose and Throat surgery, Bariatric surgery, Plastic surgery, Urology, Neurosurgery and Head & Neck surgery. He also provides anaesthesia and epidural analgesia for labour and Caesarean section.
He currently holds accreditation at a range of hospitals across Sydney, including: Macquarie University Hospital, Sydney Adventist Hospital, Norwest Hospital and Sydney South West Hospital.
Outside of medicine and anaesthesia Jarrett enjoys sport, spending time with his family and experimenting with the latest developments in technology.
